Tomáš Ulej (1987) is a journalist, aphorist and columnist, born in Martin. His first book of aphorisms But came out in 2012; it received the Ivan Krasko Award. Two years later he published a second book, Stab, Strike!, and in 2018 his third book called Žuvot [a pun on words life and chewing]. An example of his talents and his observation of contemporary events from his Stab, Strike!: “Chceš mier?/ Tak nemier.” [You want peace (mier)? Then stop aiming (nemier).]
