Dominika Moravčíková: Children of Naturism

Writer, poet and journalist Dominika Moravčíková is one of the most remarkable young voices of contemporary Slovak literature. She was born in Strečno in 1992. In 2020 she published her first poetry collection Children of Hameln. Her first prose work A House for the Stag came out in 2022. “I am interested in all sorts of relationships, not only in the family but all those where people are tied up by conventions or, generally, as a consequence of a banal fate, and have to live together. I also like large, sprawling families. Sometimes fiction is my substitute space for starting relationships I lack myself.”
